This mural is in Linden’s Thomas terrace, a new community space downtown. In the future, there will be live music, food trucks, and other events and activities visiting this space. My mural depicts a porch, rocking chairs, 11 hidden butterflies, and a whimsical landscape. The porch is an iconic southern gathering place and I hope to inspire the community to make new connections and memories in this space. Come gather at the Thomas terrace in Linden! this job was with the Marengo County Extension and ALProHealth Grant Project.
Butterfly Photo Wall
This mural is a great photo opportunity to pose with wings of an eastern tiger swallowtail butterfly. You can literally step into this image and be surrounded by Alabama camellias and a bright beautiful Alabama landscape. This mural is unique because I had to incorporate a large metal beam into the design. Murals are a great way transform an area and bring joy to any town.
Welcome to Linden.
This mural greets everyone traveling south on Hwy 43 as they enter the city of Linden, AL. It was part of a grant sponsored by the local Chamber of Commerce. I had a great time working with the community to brighten the downtown area. I met many wonderful people when they walked by and stopped to talk as I worked on the project. Read more about the project in the linked article above. Please come visit and snap a photo with the mural; you are very much Welcome to Linden!
