Murals exposed to sun and weather can fade or deteriorate over time. In addition to creating original artwork, Banks has experience refreshing, repainting, and restoring existing murals while maintaining the character of the original design.

Restoring a Colorful Commercial Facade
The existing murals transformed the exterior of Crayola Experience with the bright colors, crayons, paint splashes, characters, and playful imagery associated with the Crayola brand.
Banks helped repaint and refresh portions of this artwork, restoring areas that needed renewed color and attention.
Working across the building required maintaining consistency with the existing artwork and established Crayola visual identity rather than introducing an entirely new design.
The result refreshed the exterior while preserving the playful character of the original murals.
Working With an Established Brand
The Crayola Experience project was an early opportunity for Banks to contribute to large-scale artwork for a nationally recognized brand.
Unlike an original mural commission where Banks develops the imagery from concept through completion, this project required working within an existing design and established brand identity while assisting another lead artist.
That experience helped build skills that continue to be important in Banks' commercial mural practice: matching existing artwork, working collaboratively, painting efficiently at architectural scale, and translating established visual identities onto buildings.
