Merchants Paper Co. | Pensacola Mural Fest
Created for the 2023 Pensacola Mural Fest, this large-scale mural transformed the corrugated-metal exterior of Merchants Paper Co. on Barrancas Avenue.
The retro-inspired design celebrates the history and personality of the longtime Pensacola business through a vintage delivery truck, flying paper products, Southern camellias, and Piper—the family's dog who greets customers at the business.
The project was part of Pensacola's larger Foo Foo Fest celebration and received the Pensacola Mural Fest People's Choice Award.

CUBED | Museum Plaza
In 2023, Banks participated in CUBED, a temporary public art installation in Museum Plaza in downtown Pensacola.
Each participating artist was given an 8-by-8-foot panel to create an original artwork. Banks used his panel to paint a personal scene inspired by a photograph from his family's farm in Alabama, depicting a young boy walking with the family's Border Collie through a rural landscape.
The artwork was contained within an oval—a compositional element that has become a recurring motif throughout Banks' murals and fine art.
The installation remained on public display throughout 2023.
School of Liberal Arts | Pollinator Garden Mural
Banks created this educational mural for the School of Liberal Arts in Pensacola, connecting the artwork directly to the school's outdoor space and pollinator garden.
The mural illustrates the life cycle of a monarch butterfly through milkweed, caterpillars, a chrysalis, mature butterflies, and flowering plants.
Students participated in painting portions of the mural, giving them hands-on experience with the process of creating large-scale artwork while reinforcing lessons about plants, butterflies, pollinators, and the natural environment.
